- Cliff Richard and the Young One’s. Living Doll.
- Some say the song is about drugging girls so she becomes “your girlfriend”.
- We are not sure, but it has some hints in that direction: freedom moped, living doll, the hammering down in coma in the end, and “does anybody know where the toilets are?”, since that is the location where most women are drugged in a club.
We can’t be 100% sure, but it is an odd song.
The music industry plays an important role in defining “what is cool” and who is “part of a group” and who is not part of a certain group (music and clothes play an important role in puberty). Many songs are written in a way, that not everyone understands the true meaning. For young people who do get the meaning, they start to think it is cool. They feel they are part of the movement (“group of people” the music style “belongs to”).
