Voor de Amsterdamse beveiligingsbranch, een gedicht

De dag dat mijn boek Dag Licht het daglicht zag (in 2011 nog met anonieme hoofdpersonen), werd mijn blik verblind door helikopters die nooit meer weg gaan. Gelukkig kennen mijn buurmeisjes leuke liedjes over helikopters, dat vrolijk de boel op.

I heard someone say my name.

Use it as a phonograph.
Spin its ends through history.

Put to use the words that come from its story.

a fiery myth spells me clear of evil.

Upheaval seems to deny good principle;
The approach of which has fallen like a bird,          mid-flight.
The seams are sealed in skyline.
